El 18 de mayo se celebra el d\u00eda internacional de los museos, por ello en este post te contaremos un poquito sobre los museos m\u00e1s visitados y prestigiosos dentro de la geograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola. Espa\u00f1a cuenta con dos de los museos m\u00e1s visitados a nivel europeo y mundial; El Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda y el Museo Nacional del Prado, ambos situados en la capital madrile\u00f1a.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nEl primero, conocido coloquialmente como El reina Sof\u00eda,<\/em> se sit\u00faa frente a la conocida estaci\u00f3n de tren Atocha en Madrid, se trata del antiguo Hospital General de Madrid, dise\u00f1ado por Jos\u00e9 de Hermosilla y posteriormente remodelado por el italiano Francesco Sabatini, apodado actualmente como el Edificio Sabatini<\/em>. El museo se inaugur\u00f3 en 1992 y en 2005 se ampliaron sus instalaciones. Se trata del museo m\u00e1s visitado de Espa\u00f1a, el n\u00famero de visitas anuales ronda los 4 millones, sin duda, es uno de los museos de arte contempor\u00e1neo m\u00e1s prestigiosos del mundo.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nLa mayor parte de sus obras son de estilo modernista pertenecientes al sigo XX, dentro de su colecci\u00f3n permanente se destacan las obras de los autores espa\u00f1oles: Pablo Picasso, Salvado Dal\u00ed y Joan Mir\u00f3. Cabe destacar la obra de Pablo Picasso Guernica<\/em>, d\u00f3nde se representa la batalla del Guernica durante la guerra civil espa\u00f1ola.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nEn segundo lugar, tenemos al Museo Nacional del Prado, fue inaugurado de 1819 y desde entonces recoge un sinf\u00edn de obras relacionadas con el patrimonio de Espa\u00f1a. La divulgaci\u00f3n de su historia a trav\u00e9s de ellas es un elemento clave de difusi\u00f3n del patrimonio cultural espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSe podr\u00eda decir que los tres grandes protagonistas del museo son Vel\u00e1zquez, El Greco y Goya. El \u00faltimo se trata del artista m\u00e1s representativo en cuanto a n\u00famero de obras en todo el museo. La mayor\u00eda de las obras que hoy forman parten de la colecci\u00f3n fueron creadas por encargo. El Padro, <\/em>existe gracias a las familias reales aficionadas al arte que encargaban colecciones para decorar sus viviendas y aposentos. De ah\u00ed que muchas de sus obras consistan en retratos familiares o momentos hist\u00f3ricos memorables.<\/p>\r\n

International Museum Day<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

\r\n\r\nMay 18th is International Museum Day. In this post we will tell you a little bit about the most visited and prestigious museums in Spain. Spain has two of the most visited museums in Europe and worldwide: The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda and the Museo Nacional del Prado, both located in the capital of Madrid.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe first, known colloquially as El Museo Reina Sof\u00eda<\/em>, is located in front of the famous Atocha train station in Madrid. This is the former General Hospital of Madrid, designed by Jose de Hermosilla and later remodeled by the Italian Francesco Sabatini. Today, the museum is nicknamed The Sabatini Building<\/em>. The museum was opened in 1992 and its facilities were expanded in 2005. It is the most visited museum in Spain, the number of annual visits is around 4 million, and it is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious contemporary art museums in the world.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nMost of the works in the museum are of modernist style belonging to the 20th century. Within the permanent collection are the works of Spanish authors: Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dal\u00ed and Joan Mir\u00f3. The work of Pablo Picasso Guernica, which depicts the battle of Guernica during the Spanish civil war, is particularly noteworthy.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSecondly, we have the Museo Nacional del Prado, which was opened in 1819 and since then has collected an endless number of works related to the heritage of Spain and the propagation of its history through them. The museum is undoubtedly a key element of conservation and propagation of Spanish cultural heritage.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIt could be said that the three great protagonists of the museum are Vel\u00e1zquez, El Greco and Goya, the latter being the most representative artist in terms of the number of works in the entire museum. Most of the works that form part of the museum’s collection were created by commission. El Padro exists thanks to the royal families who were fond of art and who commissioned collections to decorate their homes and rooms. Hence many of its works consist of family portraits or memorable historical moments.<\/p>\r\n
