El lenguaje es, en suma, un sistema formado por un conjunto de signos que nos permite expresar nuestros pensamientos, emociones y transmitir cualquier tipo de información. Hoy en día, gracias a los avances tecnológicos, las comunicaciones entre personas de diversas comunidades y, por ende, con idiomas diferentes, se ha extendido y naturalizado. Hablar más de un idioma nos aporta una infinidad de ventajas, entre ellas, la accesibilidad a una cantidad ingente de información. No obstante, resulta primordial el hecho de poder conectar con personas de todo el mundo siendo posible la interculturalidad y el crecimiento personal que conlleva tal intercambio. Es, por ello, que la demanda en el aprendizaje de idiomas ha crecido exponencialmente en las últimas décadas y resulta prácticamente un requisito indispensable para desenvolvernos en el mundo.
En lo que respecta al español y según las estadísticas, es el segundo idioma más hablado en el mundo después del chino y por delante del inglés en tanto en cuanto hablantes nativos se refiere. Por esta razón, cada vez más y más gente se anima a embarcarse en la fascinante aventura que supone aprender un idioma. Resulta una tarea apasionante, puesto que no se trata únicamente de memorizar unas cuantas reglas gramaticales, sino que nos adentramos en toda la belleza y riqueza cultural que subyace de las personas que lo hablan, sus costumbres, tradiciones, gastronomía, arte… Pero, sobre todo, nos acercamos a una nueva forma de pensamiento y de creación del mundo a través de las palabras.
No obstante, las circunstancias a la hora de iniciarnos en un nuevo lenguaje son muy diversas y en muchas ocasiones no vivimos en un país de habla hispana con total inmersión en la lengua meta. Por lo que es preciso y muy recomendable disponer de ciertos recursos que nos faciliten la tarea. Para ello, compartimos una serie de consejos prácticos que os pueden ser de gran utilidad en vuestro día a día a la hora de aprender español.
- Intenta realizar intercambios de idiomas con personas que hablen español en tu ciudad. Dar un paseo, tomar un café o realizar algún deporte son excusas geniales para practicar un idioma.
- Escuchar la radio o música mientras realizamos otra actividad, ver la televisión o películas, siempre nos ayudará a familiarizarnos más rápido con el idioma y a aprender numeras expresiones y vocabulario sin apenas darnos cuenta.
- Los post-its también son un recurso tremendamente útil. Escribe y coloca notas por tu casa con el vocabulario que consideres importante memorizar. De esta forma, estará muy presente en tu día a día y te ayudará a aumentar tu vocabulario con rapidez.
- Las aplicaciones electrónicas también son un buen método para aprender y reforzar nuestro conocimiento a través de juegos y actividades dinámicas. Podemos invertir un ratito cada día y también nos facilitará el aprendizaje.
- Escribir un diario, por muy sencillas que puedan ser las frases, también nos ayudará a ir ganando confianza. Asimismo, nos impulsará a buscar nuevas palabras y expresiones para lograr transmitir todo aquello que nos conmueve.

Therefore, demand in language learning has grown exponentially in recent decades and is practically an indispensable requirement to develop ourselves in the world.
With regard to Spanish and according to statistics, it is the second most spoken language in the world after Chinese and ahead of English as far as native speakers are concerned. For this reason, more and more people are encouraged to embark on the fascinating adventure of learning a language. It is an exciting task, since it is not only about memorizing a few grammar rules, but we go into all the beauty and cultural richness that underlies the people who speak it, their customs, traditions, gastronomy, art … But, about All in all, we approach a new way of thinking and creating the world through words.
However, the circumstances at the time of starting in a new language are very diverse and on many occasions we do not live in a Spanish-speaking country with total immersion in the target language.
